~  HOLIDAY GREETINGS ~

With the fast approaching Christmas & Holiday Season, your Chief and Council along with the Administration staff, would like to extend their very best wishes for health, prosperity and happiness to all of our Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation families and community members.

It has been an amazing year for the First Nation and for our people! This year witnessed many happy community events and get-to-gethers for our families and friends.  Along with this, we have experienced a large increase in staff and funding for various programs and services, namely in Health and Education.  We are also thrilled to be able to expand our educational pursuits in the new year, with the opening of a much needed Day Care Centre.  For the most current and accurate information on what’s happening in your First Nation, we encourage you to visit our website @ lacdesmillelacsfirstnation.ca

Annual Christmas Gift

With the hope of brightening your holiday season, your Chief and Council are pleased to provide a Christmas gift.  We are delighted to be able to give our members support at this special time of year!  All adults will receive a $1,000.00 cheque, all youth 12-17 will receive a $300.00 gift card, and all children 11 and under will receive a $100.00 gift card.  The gift is comprised of revenue from dividends from the “Future Generations Trust Fund” and the FN’s Dallan Forestry company.

It is our hope that this will make your holiday season a little brighter and a time of celebration.  Our children and youth who have registered to attend at the feast, will still receive a Christmas gift from Santa, and our Elders will still receive their turkey and gift card!

Your annual Christmas gift will be ready for distribution and mail-out commencing Monday December 10, 2018.  (Please Note:  No third party pick-ups. Individual registered band members can only pick up their own gift.)

Christmas Feast – Sunday December 9th

The Banquet room for the feast is filled to capacity (maximum 500).  If you are registered and cannot attend, please call Honey Chicago at the office as we have people on our waiting list.   Chi Miigwetch!

~ Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas

 & Happy New Year

 from your Chief & Council

and Administration ~
