Date: May 16 & 17, 2019 Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Location: Lac des Mille Lacs Education Centre (former Hyde Park School) Audience: Seventh Fire Secondary Students, Lac des Mille Lacs Post Secondary Education Students, and any Band and Community Youth under the age of 30.

Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation will be opening an Urban Elementary School in the Fall of 2019. The school will begin with a JK/SK program. The school is located at the Lac des Mille Lacs Education Centre, which was formerly Hyde Park School. Please help us name our new school!   Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation’s departments and programs are rapidly expanding.  The need for Cultural Resources with varying interests and strengths are needed to support these initiatives. A Cultural Resource is a knowledge keeper of any age, who is willing to share their knowledge in different settings, programs, and groups.  We are inviting band and community members who are interested in signing up as a Cultural Resource to please contact Rikka Berkan, Lac des Mille Lacs First Nation Education Liaison Coordinator at rberkan@lacdesmillelacs.ca to find out more information or to sign up. The Spring Feasting of The Lands and Spirits will take place this Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Roundhouse. Our members are also encouraged to continue to feast their own drums, regalia, sacred items, etc. at their own chosen time and place.
