Community Health Needs Assessment

Dear Band and Community Members, I am excited to announce a Community Health Needs Assessment for the Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation in conjunction with Dr. Cheryl Everall of “The Joseph Esquega Health Center”. This study investigates the impact of legal and illegal substances such as tobacco, alcohol, opiates and prescription medication on Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation band and community members. Youth Language Workshop

Seasons Greetings

The holidays are upon us!  We would like to wish everyone a safe, fun and relaxing time with all of their families, friends and loved ones.  This time of year is also a time of reflection and we remember those who have gone on ahead of us.  We acknowledge them and cherish and honour their lives.  Best wishes to everyone in the New Year.  May you find peace, love and happiness! Awarded Contracts - Resolute

We are very excited to announce that Dallan Forestry LP has been awarded the contracts for the Mill Yard Services at both the Ignace and Atikokan Sawmill sites!  The Ignace Sawmill is expected to go into operation on or about December 10, 2014.  We are now in the process of advertising job opportunities that are available at this site.  The newly constructed Atikokan Sawmill is expected to go into operation in March of 2015.
